Maco surprise amplifier up and going on the bench

Ok, after cleaning up the shipping disaster and figuring out what is supposed to be what, this was originally a Maco 200, 1 driving 3 in grounded grid configuration (normal linear amplifier, not a modulator) but it was converted to a single tube modulator swinging type amp very similar to the Maco 75. Though this originally came with 2 tubes before they got busted up in shipping, 1 of the tubes was in place to drop or divide the filament voltage only. Maco used 12v filament transformers in their amps. So did D+A. 12v filaments will run 12v tubes directly with no problems, but this amp came with 2 6lb6 6v filament tubes. The filaments were wired in series. Since I had a good 8950 12v filament tube, I rewired the filament for the single tube directly, recapped it, and now I am feeling better about buying this amp. Using the input tuner on the back, with a normal 4 watt mud duck radio going in, it will dead key from 0-25 watts and swing to 150 average, 250 peak. Man, that's getting a lot out of a single 8950. It is running 900v on the plate, and remember that transformer will run 4 tubes. Also, it had been setup as a Tetrode modulator type amp, with center tap high voltage (450v's) on the screen and I think around -80 negative bias, but I did not check that. It's a screamer. I like it.
