Strange Sounds Heard In The Woods (After Seeing Glowing Red Eyes The Night Before)

We came back to try to determine what could have been watching us the other night in the woods. Although we did not recover any tracks, we began hearing strange whooping sounds coming from deeper in the forest in front of us. Not long after that, we heard it again further away, and then we heard it off to our right. That seemed to indicate to us that at least two of whatever they were (we assumed cows), were communicating back and forth. Like I said, we believed that they were cows, because there are cows out there. We continued exploring and we soon came across very bizarre brush piles and deadfall trees that all seemed to be accumulated in one general area. After further inspection, some of the smaller trees and saplings were somewhat "weaved" in and around the smaller brush and branches to act as support for this "dome-like" structure. We found that to be really odd. Also, I want to note the various fresh and older tree breaks that we discovered that seemed to be snapped and broken pretty high off the ground. All of these things are too hard to ignore.
