A Winch Can Be an Off-Roader's Best Friend
Off-roading is a 'ton of fun'. It comes with some challenges and risks. Even the most capable of rigs and drivers (not saying that I'm one) get into sticky situations, especially when conditions are slippery, tight, and/or steep. Combine these three conditions and chances are, at some point, you'll need to be winched. This short film chronicles one such situation that my Bronco Wildtrak and I found ourselves in at a Buff4Lo off-road event in June of 2026. The trail was tight, the hill steep, and the mud under the leaf cover was like peanut butter! Badlands Apex 12,000# winch to the rescue.
