Best cheap hobby grade RC car? - Absima AMT 3.4 Monster Truck unboxing

Looking for a good first RC car for you or a loved one? To save yourself from disappointment, don't chose a toy grade car, try and find a good hobby grade RC car that you can enjoy, repair and upgrade for a long time. I started with RC cars 8 years ago and have been through all sorts of electric radio controlled vehicles, from bashers to racing kits and everything in between. From my experience I can share nothing is more important than being able to fix your car once you hit that tree that jumped in front of you or make it better or faster with some upgrade parts. Sure, you can find cheap rc cars, under $100, but those aren't usually hobby grade so finding spare parts can be difficult or impossible, electronics are not standard so it's difficult and / or expensive to upgrade them. With hobby grade cars manufacturers carry all spare parts, electronics are standardized and easily upgradeable and usually they are built to hold up better. Manufacturers I can recommend from experience like Arrma and Traxxas, or on the cheaper side HPI, Tamiya or Absima. Keep in mind most of the ready to run RC cars do not include a battery and charger, you will find those at any hobby shop.
