Michael’s second wife was a woman by the name of Lynn Noe, and the two had met years before when performing together on the series Bonanza. When Michael met and became romantically involved with Lynn, he was still married to his first wife. Similarly, Michael became romantically involved with his third wife while he and Lynn were still married. Michael’s third wife ended up being a woman by the name of Cindy Clerico, whom he met while she was working as a stand-in on Little House on the Prairie. When Lynn found out about the affair, she and Michael divorced. Michael and Cindy got married and stayed together until Michael's 1991 death. Although the incident hurt the actor's reputation, he claimed it was the best outcome for all parties involved, including his many children with his second wife.
