TAM 5000 DVc– star, a okreten »vojak«

The TAM 4500 (later TAM 5000) was the first modern truck from the TAM factory in Maribor. With these vehicles, Yugoslavia was rebuilt after the Second World War. It is a product licensed from Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz. Production in Maribor was started only two years later than in Germany. The trucks were powered by four-cylinder air-cooled in-line 5.3 liter diesel engines with a vortex chamber, and they reached a maximum power of 85 hp (63 kW - JUS) at 2,300 rpm. This truck in a 4 × 4 configuration became the base vehicle in the Yugoslav Army. The one we rode was thoroughly restored and is practically in factory condition.
