For the first time ever, the border section at Victoria Lock is open, creating a fully connected cross-border greenway! We set off on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, gliding past stunning views of Carlingford Lough, through Victoria Lock, into Omeath, and finally reaching Carlingford village — all without touching a main road! This world class 25km greenway offers a safe, scenic alternative to the narrow and busy A1/N1 road.
