On 4 June 2025, LIBER hosted a webinar 'Leading the Way: How libraries are shaping the future of repository services'. In March 2025, LIBER, OpenAIRE, SPARC Europe, and COAR published a plan of action to strengthen and future-proof research repositories in Europe: Repositories - Key Infrastructure For Μaintaining European Research Εxcellence (IMPACT-REPO). During the webinar, LIBER Open Access Working Group, together with our partners, introduced the Action Plan and explored into the vital role of repositories and why they matter in the open science ecosystem, illustrated by real-case examples.
