I Engineered This Cutting Board Pattern from Scratch

This is an original design by Stammherz, developed to push the pattern further while keeping the geometry clean and consistent across the entire surface. The process is all about precision — accurate cuts, controlled glue-ups, and careful alignment so the pattern flows seamlessly from block to block. After assembly, the board is flattened, sanded, and finished to bring out the natural grain and contrast of the wood. End-grain cutting boards are durable, knife-friendly, and allow for complex patterns that reveal themselves only after the final glue-up and surfacing.
