Back racing at last- HSCC Cadwell Park- Historic Formula 3 Screamers- Brabham BT21 May 2025

After what seems like an eternity I am back racing!! Last week end saw us travel up to Cadwell Park for the 2nd round of the HSCC Historic Formula 3 championship. Saturday Morning was wet so Qualifying saw half the grid on wet weather tyres and the rest of us on Dry tyres. It was a gamble that nearly paid off but for a red flag just as the tyres were coming good. At the restart we only had 3 laps and whilst I did post my fastest lap it was only good enough for 10th on the grid. The Race was a normal dry race and after a good start, all be it with a start line incident that put 2 cars out of the race I settled down to a good battle with Francis Falconer, our positions changed a number of times before on the last but one lap Francis suffered a miss fire. I cross the line in 10th place but my engine sounded not good so I switched off and was towed back to the paddock. The engine appeared to be seized so we loaded up and came home. Findings will be revealed in the next video but I will be a Zandvoort!! Many thanks to all my fellow competitors it was so good to be back racing with you all again.
