In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies God, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (1) To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent. (2) He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, and He is Knowing of all things. (3) He is the One who created the heavens and the earth. Six days, then He established Himself upon the Throne. He knows what enters into the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein. And He is with you wherever you are. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. (4) To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah all matters are returned. (5) He causes to enter He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and He is Knowing of that within the breasts. (6) Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those of you who believe and spend, there is a great reward. (7) And what is [the matter] with you that you do not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord? And He has already taken your covenant, if you are believers. (8) He is the One who sends down upon His servant clear verses to bring you out from darkness into light. And indeed, Allah is ever Kind and Merciful to you. (9) And what is [the matter] with you that you do not spend in the cause of Allah, while to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent before the conquest and fought are equal in rank to those who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best reward. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. (10) Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And he will have a noble reward. (11) On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light shining before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Good tidings to you! Today you will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is the great attainment. (12) On the Day the hypocrites, men and women, will say to those who believed, "Wait for us!" We will borrow from your light. It will be said, “Go back and seek light.” So a wall will be placed between them, with a gate. Inside it is mercy, and outside it is punishment. They will call to them, “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Yes, but you tempted yourselves, and you waited, and you doubted, and false hopes deluded you.” Until the command of Allah came, and the deceiver deluded you concerning Allah. (13) So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire; it is your protector, and wretched is the destination. (14) Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and what has been revealed of the truth? They will be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient. (15) Know that God gives life to the earth after its death. We have made clear to you signs so that you may understand. (16) Indeed, the men who give charity and the women who give charity and lend to God A goodly loan which will be multiplied for them, and they will have a generous reward. (17) And those who believe in Allah and His messengers - those are the truthful ones and the martyrs with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who disbelieve and deny Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire. (18) Know that indeed The life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of rain whose growth pleases the disbelievers; then it withers and you see it turn yellow; then it becomes debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the life of this world but amusement and diversion? The life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion. (19) Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as vast as the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah; He grants it to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. (20) What befalls one of the No calamity befalls the earth or yourselves except that it is in a record before We bring it into being. Indeed, that, for Allah, is easy. (21) So that you may not grieve over what has escaped you nor rejoice over what He has given you. And Allah does not like every arrogant boaster. (22) Those who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. (23) Part 5 (5) Recitat...
