Shore Power Hookup & Scanstrut Solar Entry Seal for Van Life //Ep. 7 DIY Van Build

In this episode of our Van Build Series we cut the final holes in the van's side and roof (hopefully). The first hole in the side is for our shore power hookup. We decided to go with a simple pass through style 120v AC extension cord. This will allow us to plug in anywhere that has a regular AC outlet. The second part of this video is installing the solar wires through the roof. We utilized a Scanstrut Deck Seal (they are a marine item) to make a waterproof seal for our 10AWG Solar wires to pass through so they can send energy to our electrical system from the two 100-watt solar panels we plan to install in a future video.
