Granoff the Relentless hires our heroes to eliminate a Skeeoor, a very rare ferocious dragon that has destroyed his village. No sooner said than done. Well almost. For the Skeeoor is a kind of huge and terrifying dragon-squirrel crossbreed. Lian-Chu manages to subdue the beast with great difficulty and with huge threat to his life. But having killed the dragon, our heroes find out that Granoff is a major fraud who has hugely manipulated them. The Skeeoor he asked them to eliminate is a female; it was his intention to get the mother out of the way to gain access to its newborn, which has incredibly soft fur worth an absolute fortune.
