What if Robb Stark Traded Jamie Lannister for His Sisters
What if Robb Stark traded Jaime Lannister for his sisters? Discord: / discord YT: / @threeeyedtheorist Voice Acting & Narration: Steven Waters @bobablackfly602 Let’s explore the depths of it in the video. The war of the five King’s shadow looms heavy over the Riverlands. Scorched fields and emptied villages smolder under a sky heavy with scavenging crows. Robb Stark stands victorious from the Battle of the Whispering Wood, having captured Jaime Lannister. After a tense exchange of letters with the Lannisters, The Young Wolf has agreed to exchange the Kingslayer for the safe return of his sisters. The Riverlands-Westerlands border is chosen as the exchange point. The border is a scarred wasteland of boot-churned mud and burned farmland. Robb stands atop a low rise, his direwolf cloak snapping in the cold wind, Grey Wind pacing beside him, eyes glinting like steel in the pale light. Across the muddy field, Tywin Lannister’s crimson and gold standards ripple, his army a wall of pikes and shields, disciplined and unyielding. Jaime, chained but unbowed, is led forward by Stark guards, his golden hair dulled by captivity, his smirk replaced by wary defiance. Sansa, pale and red-haired, steps from the Lannister ranks, her gown tattered, her eyes wide with fear and relief. But Arya is nowhere to be seen. Robb’s heart twists, suspicion flaring like a torch in the dark as the armies face each other, hands on swords- they are only a single wrong word from bloodshed. Robb(frustrated): “I only see Sansa. Where is my youngest sister, Tywin? Youre swore both of my sisters for your son. Where is Arya?” Tywin(cold): “The younger Stark fled King’s Landing after your father’s head rolled. She’s not mine to give you.” Robb: “You expect me to believe that? Where is she, Tywin? I could turn away right now and take your son back to Winterfell so that his head can roll next.” Tywin: “Her whereabouts aren't my concern, boy. Take the sister I have and be done, or we settle this with swords and spears.” Robb(bitter): “Fine. I will take Sansa, but if I learn Arya is in your posession, I will have Jaime’s head and yours.” Robb’s jaw tightens as he searches Tywin’s unyielding face for any sign of deceit. The old lion’s words are true, but they lack any warmth- his hostility barely veiled beneath a layer of cold pragmatism. Robb nods curly and Sansa is released to cross the muddy field, her steps faltering slightly on the uneven ground. Jaime is unbound, striding to his father’s side with a lingering glance to Robb. Sansa collapses into Catelyn’s arms, her sobs muffled against her cloak as she whispers soft reassurances to her daughter. The armies part, retreating in opposite directions, the tension beginning to ease from the air. The exchange of hostages brings a fragile and temporary pause to the war. Sansa, emotional but showing glimmers of a newfound resilience, whispers of the horror she saw in King’s Landing- Joffrey’s cruelty, Cerisei’s scheme. And, Robb vows to find Arya, his resolve hardened like steel. In addition to the release of Sansa, Ned Stark’s bones are returned as a concession for the lack of Arya Stark. Weeks pass in the war’s uneasy lull, but despite slowing down the fighting never truly stops. Robb’s forces clash with Lannister bannermen in the Riverland’s tangled woods and swollen rivers. The skirmishes flare up here and there like sparks on dry tinder. The Kartsarks, meanwhile, continue to grumble louder and louder, their loyalty strained by The Kingslayer’s release. They demand vengeance for their lost sons in heated council sessions held in war tents. Robb placates them with promises of lands and justice, but the strain shows in his eyes as his nights are spent pouring over maps by candlelight, not sleeping. Sansa returns to Winterfell, the castle’s heated stone walls feeling like a familiar embrace after the gilded cage that was King’s Landing. She settles in her old chambers, but nightmares of joffrey’s sneers, kingsguard beatings, and her father’s rolling head haunt her. She walks the Godswood daily now, touching the heart tree’s rough bark and finding strength in it’s ancient gaze. The entire Stark family grieves Ned together in the crypts, where his remains have finally been put to rest. Robb stands before his father’s statue, torches flickering on the stern face that captures his unflinching honor he had in life. #gameofthrones #gameofthroneswhatif #whatif
