Otukpo, the Red Soil Town This town is filled with a lot of activities and a lot of memories in heart of Otukpo town. This town is adorned with red soil. Otukpo is a town in Benue State,  Nigeria located in the Middle Belt Region of Nigeria. Otukpo Town is the most developed place in the Idoma Land of Benue State, and the oldest in the area. The people here are called the Idoma people. Otukpo is the headquarters of the Otukpo Local Government Area. Former Senator David Mark was born in Otukpo Benue State in April 1948 He is a retired Nigerian Army Brigadier General and politician. He was President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2007 to 2015 and was the Senator for Benue South Senatorial District of Benue State.
