In this video, we'll show you the steps needed to change the sand in your pool's water filter. We'll be changing the filter media in a Vulcano VC30 filter, but the procedure is the same for the Vulcano VC10, VC20, VC30, VC50, and VC100 filters. Only the amount of sand required for each filter changes. The filter media comes in 25-kilo bags, and each filter requires the following amount: VC 10 filter: for pools up to 20,000 liters and requires a 1/3 HP or 0.33 HP pump, it requires 18 kilos of filter media. VC 20 Filter: For pools up to 35,000 liters and requires a 1/4 HP or 0.33 HP pump. It contains 35 kg of filter sand or gravel. VC 30 Filter: For pools up to 50,000 liters and requires a 1/2 HP or 0.50 HP pump. It contains 50 kg of filter sand or gravel. VC 50 Filter: For pools up to 80,000 liters and requires a 3/4 HP or 0.75 HP pump. It contains 100 kg of filter sand or gravel. VC 100 Filter: For pools up to 130,000 liters and requires a 1 HP pump. It contains 200 kg of filter sand or gravel.
