Northstar Firebird IXP vs Trillium StarLite
The Northstar Trillium and Firebird Solo Canoes are frequent choices for smaller to mid-sized paddlers. Today’s guest paddler is my 12 year old Paxton (85 lbs). Paxton has always enjoyed paddling but today’s video captured a breakthrough for him in boat and paddle control. It seems we have him hooked now! The Firebird in this video is one that I’ve wanted to add to the fleet for awhile. Extreme durability in the IXP coupled with the beauty of the Emerald color and wood trim. I’ll be using this canoe a lot this season. Firebird IXP: Approximately 40lbs with wood trim and added color. (Can get down to 25 lbs in StarLite) 13’6” 2.5” bow and stern rocker Trillium StarLite Alum trim 14’6” 25 lbs 2.5” bow rocker, 1.5” stern rocker More stats, pricing and content at: www.happypaddlin.com/northstar-canoes/
