Residential Grading with Civil3D Tools (BEGINNER)

In this video we will walk through the best tools to use for simple residential road and lot grading. Below are the typical steps (for your knowledge). Steps: 1. Develop stormwater management model and pond staging 2. Set the minimum low points of the road (crown / EOP) 3. Develop the high points using minimum slopes (crown / EOP) 4. Create a feature line of the centerline, set elevations 5. Perform a stepped offset of the centerline at your cross slope 6. Create feature lines of the lots 7. Use the quick elevation editor to set side yard slopes 8. Double check oddities (zero elevations) Notes: This isn't the ONLY way. You can create corridors and do other advanced tools. This is to get you familiar with feature lines. You can also create a PGL in a profile view and create a surface from there.
