I brought my mother, who has Alzheimer's, to her son's wedding. ...My mother has had Alzheimer's for 8 years. She has lost almost 100% of her memory; she doesn't recognize her children or family members. But I brought her to the wedding today because my family and I wanted to capture the atmosphere and take photos with her on this important family day, which is incredibly meaningful to us. ~ My father cried many times. I know he was very happy that his son got married, and perhaps sad that his mother couldn't feel that warmth anymore. Currently, I take care of my mother myself. My father and younger brother visit often because we live in different provinces. I secretly hoped that my mother would know that her son got married, because if she could, she would be very happy too.
