Sun, dust & drought | Spring 2025 @ Franzen Agriculture | Farming in the Netherlands

The contrast between spring 2024 and 2025 couldn't have been bigger. This year it was dry, sunny and very dusty during the spring months. Very little rain fell between March and May and at the start of summer it is still extremely dry. This did allow the Franzen Agriculture team to finish the spring planting at a record pace. Two new potato planting combinations were used this year. We also visit the farm during irrigation duties and other jobs such as mechanical weed control. Farm owner Frank Franzen talks you through the year so far.
