Effectuation. Elemente der unternehmerischen Methode: Michael Faschingbauer at TEDxSalzburg
Michael is a business consultant, trainer, coach, and lecturer with offices in Graz and Vienna since 2000. He is a pioneer in transferring effectuation (entrepreneurial expertise) to various fields. He is also the founder of the web platform for effectuation (www.effectuation.at | ch | .de) and the author of "Effectuation: How Successful Entrepreneurs Think, Decide, and Act," a practical handbook awarded "Management Book of the Year." ABOUT Effectuation: Elements of the Entrepreneurial Method. When we talk about management today, we're talking about a method. Everyone can learn management to a certain extent precisely because it's based on a method. It consists of the elements of "predicting the future, setting goals, and making plans to achieve them." Entrepreneurial thinking and acting, on the other hand, is still often seen as an "art" based on a willingness to take risks and talent. But what if creating products, companies, and even markets weren't reserved only for the courageous and talented, but could be learned by everyone? As a method for bringing something new into the world? Current findings from entrepreneurship research suggest that this method exists. It is called effectuation and is fundamentally different from what is considered professional in management. ABOUT TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
