How To Prepare Mushrooms For Preservation By Drying
It looks like this will be a great year for wild mushrooms - I have already had a great harvest of several different species and we aren't even halfway through August. Now, when I find a huge abundance of mushrooms, I try not to be greedy - and I always leave some to grow on, or for other people to gather - but even doing that, I had more than I could use immediately - so this is an excellent opportunity to dry some. This video deals with just the process of preparing them for drying - further videos will deal with storage, and using dried mushrooms.
