This is the second installment of our short, intensive series in which we help Funatsu Kazuki, a manga artist and renowned American car fan, customize his 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (left-hand drive). We'll introduce the process of customizing his beloved car, as well as explain some points to keep in mind when customizing the current JL-model Jeep Wrangler. Last time, when we visited MLJ, the official importer of various American wheels and maker of the SUV-specific wheel brand "XTREME-J," we were advised that "if you're using 35-inch tires, you'll need to lift the car and take measures to prevent tire overhang, so it's best to get advice from a specialist shop." So this time, we went to Tiger Auto, a company well-versed in Jeep customizations! As you can see in the video, we explored the various JL Jeep Wranglers created by Tiger Auto, and explored the final look for Funatsu Kazuki's beloved car. Ultimately, Funatsu-sensei chose one of the following three suspension configurations. 1: 33-inch tires + 30mm lift (reuse of original fenders) 2: 35-inch tires + 50mm lift + aftermarket fender extension kit installed instead of original fenders 3: 35-inch tires + 30mm lift + Tiger Auto Highline fenders After Funatsu-sensei chose one of the above, we then worked out the details, such as "What about wheels?", "What about tires?", "What about a spare tire on the back?", and "What else?"
