POV Hiking & Nature Photography EP5 - An immersive, quiet ski-trek across the frozen expanse of the Lake Iešjávri region, deep within the Finnmark plateau in northern Norway. In late May, the Arctic winter is slowly letting go, leaving behind a vast, monotone wilderness where earth and sky threaten to merge into one. The flat, featureless landscape presents a distinct photographic challenge. Without grand peaks or dramatic landmarks, I must rely entirely on the subtle geometry of the snow and the angle of the afternoon sun. Moving through the wide expanse, the light begins to paint shifting patterns across the white desert, eventually leading me into a hidden valley where wind-sculpted features are softly defined by shade and light. As the afternoon fades, minimalist scenes appear and disappear along the way. Fleeting compositions born from snow, shadow, and silence.
