It's not your average wagon, the new #FordFocus Active, a #crossover wagon. Just looking at it, you'll understand that this Focus is a nod to high-wheeled cars. The ride height is raised compared to a traditional Focus, by 30 mm at the front and 34 mm at the rear. The wheels? 17 inches are standard, with 18 inches available as an option. The interior is packed with technology. At the center sits the 8-inch Sync 3 screen, Ford's latest-generation infotainment system, increasingly advanced in its most advanced version. The Active arrives in its most advanced version, with FordPass Connect (standard). A built-in LTE module for 4G connectivity turns the Focus into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices. Activated at the time of purchase, it includes a free wireless data trial that lasts three months or until your 3GB of data is used up. Then you need to subscribe to a data plan for one day, one month, or one year with your provider, Vodafone. With the connection, you have access, for example, to services like Live Traffic, which is free for two years. At this point, you might wonder whether the SUV-like feel of the Focus Active wagon is all about aesthetics. The answer is no. Behind the wheel, you sit in a high position, with good control and a wide view of the road. The Focus crossover also has its own unique ride, the result of its increased height and specific chassis features. Reviewing all the driving modes, five in total, we find two specific to this Focus. On the road, its desire to be a bit SUV-like translates into a very comfortable, very smooth ride. The damping on rough surfaces is always effective, without suffering, on more demanding stretches, from the typical SUV roll. Engines? The Focus Active SW ranges from the 1.0 Ecoboost 125 hp turbocharged petrol engine to the 1.5 Ecoboost 150 hp, as well as the 1.5 TDCi 120 hp and 2.0 TDCi 150 hp turbodiesel options.
