This is mostly the case of my food tour in Kolkata. Before we started our Kolkata biryani hunt, we included a small restaurant that was extremely crowded - Golbari. People visited this place for trying their Mutton Khosha or Khosha Mangso with Paratha. Paratha is a normal plain paratha, but their Khosa Mangso was yummy. I liked it so much. We decided to visit Arsalan that is famous for Kolkata Biryani. Not only Kolkata biryani, Arsalan is also famous for Kati Rolls. We did surely try Kolkata biryani, but we also tried other dishes like Arsalan Special Cheese Chicken Kebab, Naan, and Chicken Chaaps. To be frank, while the other dishes were good, I just enjoyed Mutton Biryani there. Location of Arsalan, Kolkata: When we talk about Kolkata Biryani, it is not just Mutton Biryani and Chicken biryani. They also sell beef biryani. For beef biryani, we went to Zam Zam restaurant in Kolkata. In Zam Zam restaurant, they sold beef biryani, beef malai, beef bhuna, and other different dishes. Abhilash enjoyed beef biryani and beef malai. Location of Zam Zam Restaurant, Kolkata: On the next day, we decided to enjoy some more biryani. But, this time it is not Kolkata Biryani, but it's great grand father - Lucknow Biryani. The story that I heard from Adrita and Nivedita explained the origin of Kolkata Biryani, and it is obviously an improvement on Lucknowi Biryani or Awadhi Biryani. To try Awadhi Biryani, we visited a restaurant that is selling it for over a century - Royal Indian Restaurant.
