Poses and Tips for Clients with Chronic Pain

Not every client who walks into your studio can comfortably arch, kneel, or hold difficult poses, and that's okay. As photographers, it's our job to adapt our posing to the person in front of us, not force every client into the same poses. In this video, I'm sharing how I photograph boudoir clients with chronic pain, arthritis, mobility limitations, previous injuries, and other physical conditions while still creating beautiful, confidence-building images. We'll cover: • How to use furniture to do the work instead of your client • Easy modifications for classic boudoir poses • Why camera angle matters just as much as the pose itself • How to communicate with clients about chronic pain and mobility • The one question every boudoir photographer should add to their consultation or questionnaire Whether your client has arthritis, a bad back, knee pain, or another chronic condition, these simple adjustments can help create a safer, more comfortable, and more empowering boudoir experience. I'd love to hear from you! How do you modify poses for clients with mobility challenges? Let me know in the comments. I upload a new boudoir photography education video every Saturday, so be sure to subscribe if you want more posing tips, client experience advice, and body-positive photography education. Remember: Your body is a good body.
