Welcome to the 2023 UTL Spring Open, fueled by Dymatize. We have 8 teams competing in 2 leagues, a Pro and Rookie League. This Rookie League game features #2 Central Texas Salamanders vs #3 Los Alamitos Tribe Tridents. The team that wins the best of three games wins the match. Each game is played to five points. UTL is an underwater sport developed by Marine Special Forces Water Survival Instructors. Started in the military as a training tool, UTL has grown into a competitive sport with a primary goal of teaching people water confidence, safety and fun. Athletes of all different skill levels have come through our training since we began, individuals ranging from non-swimmers to Olympic athletes. It has been an underground sport within the military for over a decade and is now available to the public. The club was started in 2017 with a primary goal of teaching people water confidence in a fun and safe environment. Athletes of all different skill levels have gone through the training since its inception, individuals ranging from non-swimmers to Olympic and professional athletes of all sports and modalities. We pride ourselves in watching everyone improve their skills in the sport and break through mental and physical barriers each session. We are extremely proud to provide a trusted environment that’s focused on cultivating confidence in the water, in our athlete’s lives outside of the pool, while pushing their optimum performance in a UTL team. About the Co-Founders Co-Founders: Don Tran: With 12 years of experience as a water survival instructor and Marine Raider, Don is passionate about applying water survival skill sets to teach efficient movement and mental fortitude. His dedication lies in empowering others through psychological and physical training. Prime Hall - Co-Founder/CEO: Having served as a Special Operations Marine Raider with combat experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Asia, Prime brings a wealth of knowledge to Deep End Fitness™. With ten years of experience as a water survival instructor, he has trained thousands of Marines with water confidence.
