2025-09-27 In this episode of the Newbie Tank Series 2.0, my new FOWLR (fish-only with live rock) tank is facing some drama! I successfully completed the tank cycle using Dr. Tim's One & Only with my first fish additions—a Panther Grouper and a pair of Maroon Clownfish—but I woke up to cloudy water and the disappearance of the anemone I added for the clownfish! Frustrated and confused by this, plus some aggressive clownfish and a possible diatom bloom, I call in Mr. Saltwater Tank, on the batphone! We'll cover everything from cycling with fish and drip acclimation to handling the "ugly phase" and whether my new predator fish will eat its tank mates.
