What looked like an easy ride along Argentina’s iconic Ruta 40 turned into something different. Today, Cherry and I leave Cafayate for a 450 km ride toward Fiambalá. I expected smooth pavement and an easy day… but recent rain had other plans. The interesting part? I was supposed to ride this road the day before — but something told me not to. From unexpected mud and water crossings to endless straight roads, and finally into stunning mountain curves and changing landscapes — this ride kept surprising me at every turn.
