The Indigenous People of The Mentawai Tribe

The Mentawai tribe, als known as the flower people, is an indigenous tribe that resides on an island called Siberut off the shore of Sumatra. It is one of Indonesia’s oldest tribes. Over the course of 3 days we came to experience who these people are and how they live. Me and my girlfriend stayed at the kind and welcoming Sikerei Aman Sasali. It was truly an amazing experience and to make the memories last forever I captured it on video. The intention of this mini documentary is to give you, the viewer, inside into the daily life of the Mentawai people.
