E. Grieg – Piano Concerto in a minor, Op. 16 (Allegro molto moderato) Soloist: Yu Chia Huang (Taiwan) Orchestra: Camerata Fiestravaganza Conductor: Evan-Alexis Christ Location: Recorded live @ University of the Arts Berlin on 23rd July 2025 Fiestravaganza International Music Academy (FIMA) continues to grow as a vibrant platform for the next generation of musicians. Building on the success of its established piano programme, FIMA 2025 introduced an exciting new opportunity for talented young string players, further strengthening the academy’s role as one of Berlin’s emerging summer academies for aspiring musicians. Concerto Fiestravaganza reflects the academy’s unique vision: young orchestral musicians supporting even younger soloists. Selected FIMA participants from around the world are given the rare opportunity to perform a concerto movement with orchestra, an invaluable experience at a formative stage in their musical journey. They were joined by Berlin-based Singaporean pianist Shaun Choo and Camerata Fiestravaganza under the baton of Evan-Alexis Christ. The chamber orchestra brings together more than 50 outstanding young musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, most of whom are current students or alumni of Berlin’s three major music institutions: Universität der Künste Berlin, Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and the Barenboim-Said Akademie.
