Jacques Morali - Je me prépare á l’amour (1976)

Long before his life’s work as founder and producer of disco band The Village People, Jacques Morali was a singer/songwriter and musician in his own right, starting a recording career as early as 1967 with the French chanson “Elle aime, elle n'aime pas”. In 1976, he composed the atmospheric “Je me prépare á l’amour” for Walerian Borowczyk’s “La marge” from 1976, later re-used by director Peter Strickland for his 2019 film “In Fabric”, a gothic masterpiece of intoxicating nostalgia and horror-inflected twisted comedy. Images were taken from “La marge”, starring the breathtakingly beautiful Sylvia Kristel, who became world-famous two years earlier with her role in “Emmanuelle”.
