The SECRET To Green St. Augustine Grass
What's the secret to a green St. Augustine lawn? We need to start not from the top down, but from the bottom up. That right!! A great looking lawn starts with healthy roots. And this starts with the right cultural practices. First is to water 1/2" 2-3 times per week. Then we have mowing. For St. Augustine, I recommend mowing as high as your mower will allow, preferably 4" or higher. St Aug. is an ornamental type of grass that likes to be tall. And last is adding the right micronutrients. This will help stimulate proper root growth and drive those roots down deep into the soil.
