Although the tutorial shows you how to make the sweater closed, I also explain how to easily convert it into a CARDIGAN (open garment), so you can choose the version you prefer. In this PART 1, we begin the project and work from row 1 to row 20 of the chart. 📚 COMPLETE SERIES Part 1 – Rows 1 to 20 Part 2 – Rows 21 to 40 Part 3 – Rows 41 to 80 Part 4 – Rows 81 to 100 + instructions for making a cardigan Part 5 – Rows 101 to 122 Part 6 – Rows 123 to 155 Part 7 – Rows 156 to 200 (approx.) Part 8 – Joining pieces, sewing, and final finishing. 📌 MATERIALS: – 1 mm cotton yarn – 2.5 mm crochet hook – Scissors – Yarn needle – Stitch markers (optional) FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS: Sleeve to sleeve: 140 cm plus elastic cuff (optional) Total length: 65 cm Reducing sizes involves carefully adapting the pattern: Each smaller size isn't just about using fewer stitches; in reality, each size becomes a new pattern. Increases need to be rearranged, stitches per row adjusted, and the fabric needs to maintain the shape and proportions of the original design. That's why adapting a pattern to smaller sizes isn't easy. Tip: If you know how to adjust patterns and have experience with increases and fabric shape, go for it!
