The upside down car contained one entrapped person. After stabilizing the vehicles, the team went for the so-called tunneling technique, gaining access by removing the back door of the car with a spreader. With modern cars, this is becoming increasingly difficult to do. After removing this door, the Belgian team went on to get the seats out of the way. They did this using both the spreader and the ram, removing head rests with the new cordless Mini Cutter CCU10. The team made good progress during their run-off, but needed a bit more time to get the casualty out.
