RAE — Artist Spotlight My first connection with Rae goes back to 2007–08 — Can’t Stop -KOT (Jose Nunez Throwback) I first heard on Roger Sanchez’s Release ourself, a show I never missed back then.That first spark came through Defected, and it didn’t stop there — Persuasion , It’s Over with ATFC, I Gave You Everything with Stafford Brothers, Your Words with Studio Apartment (featured on Defected In The House: Tokyo 2010 — which I shamefully forgot to include at first!), and the cover of Hide U with Sandy Rivera, also on Defected.Around 2018 I started following her weekly show on HouseFM London — another chapter that pulled me deeper into her world.Through the years, one track stayed closest to me: The Journey — easily my favourite Rae record.
