PRESO EM CABO VERDE 🇨🇻 PIOR MOMENTO DA VIAGEM

The trip to Cape Verde was wonderful overall. However, we encountered a problem upon leaving São Vicente: the Dona Tututa boat broke down. Speaking to Cape Verdeans, I learned it's a very common occurrence, causing significant disruption to those who need to use this inter-island transportation. In our case, it was truly a major disruption and stress, as we only had a few days to return to São Nicolau, where we then had a flight to Praia to return to Portugal. I also had a lot of my equipment still on the island. In short, it was incredibly stressful. But it was this stress that also allowed us to have one of the best experiences of the trip. We met Claudete, who let us stay at her house without meeting us. It was a wonderful moment, and amidst the confusion and worry, she put us at ease. Anyone from Cape Verde certainly has a story to tell about the Dona Tututa, and this was mine when passing through São Vicente and São Nicolau. I hope you enjoy this video.
