Akathisia Stories Episode 2 (Full Version Reupload)
Gail Regenbogen discusses her late husband, Howard, and his akathisia-induced death in this second podcast of the MISSD Akathisia Stories series. At the end of 2009, Gail's husband, Howard, was prescribed the antidepressant Cymbalta; in just three weeks after starting the drug, Howard changed from the "very outgoing, happy" man Gail had known him to be through 30 years of marriage, to someone who was "real quiet and withdrawn." She married Howard Regenbogen in 1980 and together they raised three daughters. Regenbogen was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised 14 miles north of Chicago in the village of Wilmette. She studied elementary education and history at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and was an elementary school teacher in the Chicago public school system.
