7 of 64 Preparations for Marathon I Road to Ljubljana Marathon 2026

Join me for a relaxed 6K run through the city, where every corner brought a new story. During this easy-paced route, we had the pleasure of meeting Dean Radanac, Croatian national record holder in the 100 km, 6-hour, and 12-hour road running events. He kindly stopped his training, introduced himself, and shared a few moments with us before continuing his preparation for the World Championships in Spain. Along the way, we also came across a beautiful classic car, a true piece of automotive history, and paid tribute to two great names of Croatian literature — poet *Dragutin Tadijanović* and writer *Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić**, whose beloved characters **Potjeh* and *Šegrt Hlapić* remain part of Croatian cultural heritage. Our route also took us to a medieval fortress, adding a touch of history to this simple city run. A relaxed 6K filled with running, unexpected encounters, culture, history, and the stories that make a city special.
