From May 24th to 28th, 2025, we went on a car camping trip in Fukushima Prefecture! We started the trip early and took a nap at Hanyu PA on the Tohoku Expressway. We took a break to walk our dog at Nasu Kogen SA, and it was comfortable, as expected! We really felt that Nasu is dog-friendly. We entered Fukushima and visited Tsuruga Castle. When we tried to get lunch after 2 PM, we wandered around, finding many closed restaurants. A parking lot security guard recommended Mogamiya, which was founded in 1917. We had sauce katsudon and Aizu ramen! We took a bath in a hot spring and slept in our car at Aizu Yukawa/Aizubange Roadside Station. The next day, we slept in our car with a viewer at Lake Hatori Auto Campground! He was an expert at DIY and taught us a lot! The next day, we toured Ouchijuku, then traveled to Tochigi Prefecture and went to Haga Roadside Station. We refreshed ourselves with a soak in the attached Roman no Yu hot spring. The next day, the farm stand at Roadside Station Haga was closed, so I stopped by Roadside Station Mibu to buy some vegetables before heading home. *In preparation for this trip, I asked "Hidejii-san," a YouTuber who uploads many videos about Fukushima, from "Hidejii & Dog and Campervan," for some advice despite his busy schedule!
