If you eat Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches then chance is you eat pate. We give the credit to the French who brought it here. In Saigon there is a sandwich shop named Huỳnh Hoa. This shop is famous for its pate. Most bánh mì are stuffed with pate but it’s used in many foods like topping of sweet rice. Apparently I love pate and make it all the time. The goal is to make it soft, fatty, delicious without smell of the liver. Are you up for the challenge? Ingredients: 250g liver 450g ground pork 100g pork fat 50g pork skin Water +1 tablespoon salt +1 tablespoon lime juice for washing and soaking 5-10’ Aromatic: 6-8 garlic cloves. Minced 6-8 white parts green onion, minced 1” ginger piece, minced 1 small onion, chopped 1-2 tablespoons oil (fat) 2 cups milk 1 sandwich loaf Seasonings; 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons honey 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder Steam 15-30’ Thank you for stopping by and watching my videos.
