I made this video while preparing for one of my sets. When preparing a set, I always build a playlist tailored to the specific event. However, there’s always room for improvisation. I make sure to pack the playlist with way more tracks than I need so I can read the crowd, adapt to the energy of the night, and vary the styles, intensity, and tempo. Before the gig, I run through the playlist a few times behind the decks to get a feel for how the set will flow. This video is a recording of one of those playthroughs!
