Biking Easley & Pickens, South Carolina | Doodle Trail

Come along with me as I explore a bike trail that crosses over bridges, through back yards and past farm land - a gentle, Southern trail that connects the cities of Easley and Pickens in Upstate South Carolina. Sixteen miles out-and-back, the Doodle Trail is a great way to honor the history of the Pickens Railroad while burning some calories. The old train was said to look like a doodlebug as it doddled its way back and forth between these two communities. The rails are gone and the trains are still these days...but the walking, jogging and cycling has kicked into high gear. I also duck into the Pedal 'N Shack for a pretzel and some lemonade!
