MY STORY - Dr. Susan Gitau's journey to becoming Kiandutu's first PHD holder. No Human Is Limited
Dr. Susan Wambui Gitau found herself living in Kiandutu slums after her father lost his battle to mental illness while she was still a very little girl. In Kiandutu, she had to juggle between school and selling chang'aa at home. Since she was a bright girl, Thika Visa Oshwal Community granted her a scholarship that saw her go through to university. As fate would have it, she lost her dad on her graduation day and lost her two brothers to alcohol and murder respectively but managed to best all odds to become Kiandutu's first PHD Graduate. Very touching story but quite inspiring. Truly determination and focus, the sky is the limit.
