If you've been on any form of Taylor Swift social media recently, you may have seen speculation across social media that Taylor Swift is not, in fact, a straight woman. For years now, a debate has divided a small, but opinionated subsection of the fandom. They're loosely divided into 2 groups: Gaylors, who believe Taylor is a member of the LGBTQ community, and Hetlors, who believe that Taylor is not only straight, but in fact so straight that the mere idea that some people analyze her work from a sapphic perspective makes her desperately embarrassed. In part, what fuels both groups is the feeling that something big is at play. In fact, likely far bigger and more influential than any of us have realized or believe. Because the balance has been tipped, and it's becoming increasingly clear. Taylor is here, she's queer, and we are living through Her moment in queer history.
