My Ears Are Worth The Risk

I Let My Daughter Cut My Hair - What Could Go Wrong? Our daughter is diagnosed with level 3 autism, also known as "severe" autism along with other disabilities. Society is going to tell her no more and more as she grows up. I will not be one of those people telling her no to something that she loves doing. What is the real risks here? I get an ear clipped? I have short hair? She cuts her own hair? Manageable risks that are worth it. Her joy matters more. If I am not giving her opportunity with accommodations, then what am I doing as a parent/caregiver? How does she thrive if I am limiting her to a box that society places on her? Self esteem and confidence is not built with "no" and "you can't". How would we ever know she is capable if we don't let her try and help her try. Living life is about taking risk. And I want my daughter to live. #weefam #autism #autismparenting #caregivinglife #disability #autismstory 0:00 Putting my ears in Braylee's hands 1:35 The Barber Shop is open!
