@JCCNetwork President Prabowo Subianto announced that the government will build at least 30 ethanol plants, potentially up to 50, to accelerate the development of a gasoline and ethanol blend (E20). According to Prabowo, Indonesia has currently begun moving towards using E10 but has the potential to increase the ethanol blend to E20. He considers the construction of ethanol plants to be an important step in strengthening national energy independence while reducing dependence on energy imports.
