But after England's Jarell Quansah received a red card for a reckless foul in the 54th minute, it seemed as if Mexico would take control of the game. However, Harry Kane's converted penalty restored the two-goal lead. Mexico then threw everything forward. England defended passionately. After a foul by Harry Kane, Alireza Faghani awarded another penalty. Raúl Jiménez converted to make it 3-2. Despite eleven minutes of added time, Mexico couldn't force extra time.
