The Ridge Runner Train Bluefield, WV

6/6/26 We headed down to Bluefield, WV to ride the historical Ridge Runner miniature train. The Ridge Runner runs a one mile circle around Bluefield City Park. The tracks go across two bridges, through a tunnel, and back to the train depot. The cost is $2 per person, per ride. The Ridge Runner started out carrying tourists in 1964 on East Mountain Overlook. It was moved to the City of Bluefield after the completion of the tunnels through East River and Big Walker Mountains took traffic away from old U.S. Route 21-52. #westvirginia #wvtourism #train #railroad #railfan #railfanning #southernwv
